Rare Find Nursery is a one-stop shop for plant lovers. They offer a wide variety of rare plants, including rhododendrons, azaleas, trees, shrubs, and perennials, to plant lovers through their website. They offer a huge selection of unusual trees, shrubs, and hard-to-find native plants through their retail outlet and mail-order. The website on which they showcase the rare plants they offer was built on Magento 2.3.3.

Business Challenge

In order to keep up with changing demand of the e-commerce industry, Magento keeps updating and upgrading its platform to accommodate better features and functionalities. To leverage some of the useful functionalities offered by Magento, Rare Find Nursery wanted to upgrade its website from Magento 2.3.3 to Magento 2.4.1. The challenge was to migrate all data without any loss.

Business Solution

In order to accommodate features Rare Find Nursery needed for business growth, Team Zehntech suggested they migrate their website from Magento 2.3.3 to Magento 2.4.1. Updated customer and product data sheets were prepared and exported from the live site without any loss of data. Our talented developers also re-designed the website’s checkout page and added a few basic functionalities.

Some other features and functionalities requested by the client were also added to the website, including:

● Custom sliders on the home page

● Email verification functionality for users who sign up

● Re-Captcha feature on the user sign-up page

● Custom fields on custom sign-up page

● SMTP set up and configuration

In addition to the above-mentioned development and migration tasks, we also partnered with the client in setting up their complete AWS infrastructure for Rare Find Nursery. This included the set-up of the server and installing the LAMP stack on the server.

Our team didn’t just take care of setting up the complete application on AWS but also helped in the end-to-end migration of their application and its database from the development environment to the production environment of the customer. For SMTP, Amazon Simple Email Service was employed.
