The client is involved in providing drop shipping facilities through its multiple vendors. The services are provided through an online platform that goes by the name Kopenhagen. It is a fully-fledged drop-shipping platform that facilitates vendors to put their product details on a server in the form of a file and then the admin can choose the best bid and forward the orders it is getting. This platform has been created as a product by team Zehntech in partnership with the client.

The client is engaged in the drop shipping industry and its business ran over a functional platform on Webmers. However, the platform was not serving the client as effectively as it had expected. There were certain limitations. The admin had to manually upload the product details put in by the vendor on the server and this was very time-consuming. So, the admin wanted a system that could automatically fetch the data from the files uploaded on the server and show the product details on the platform. Also, the client wanted a more robust platform where it would not have to face restrictions and limitations as to functionalities. But the new platform had to be with the same themes, designs, and frontend, as on the existing platform. This was a major challenge in the project.
This was one of the most interesting projects that had come to the team and we were very excited to work on it. We analyzed the existing platform in-depth to understand all its functionalities and after all the analyzations, brainstorming, and discussions, we were of the view that Magento will serve as a better platform to the client for the functionalities it needs. The client liked the idea of migration; however, it did not want to change the front end and design of the platform even a bit. So, we came with custom Magento development and created a fully customized theme over the Magento platform which was exactly the same in its look and feel to the existing Webmers platform of the client.
We also developed the additional automation functionality that the client wanted to reduce its manual task of uploading the products. With this functionality, the products are directly fetched from the product files available in the backend and then populated over the frontend, showing in the products list. With yet another functionality, the visitors can easily order the products from the frontend and then in the backend, the admin can decide on which vendor to assign the project to based on certain criteria. The orders are then processed and proceeded for the shipment.
This project came as more of a partnership from the client and the complete platform is made with the client serving as the production partner of team Zehntech at all times.
With the product we created for the client, it has been able to have a highly functional platform that has helped take the business to a whole new level. The product has eased out a lot of functions for the client with the automation facilities and made its work easier and faster to a great extent. The platform has essentially helped the client in carrying out its functions smoothly while offering the best user experiences.
