Expo-Etcetera is an e-Commerce Magento webshop for visual communication media for expos, showrooms, stores, interiors, and events from a trusted product specialist. It uses transfer sublimation for long-lasting large-format textile printing, resulting in foldable textiles with bright colours that are odourless and wrinkle-free. For more than three decades, the store has been operated entirely through the website. Team Zehntech redesigned & migrated the webshop with a modern look and improved functionality on a more appropriate and latest version as per business needs.

Business Challenge

Expo-Etcetera has been in operations for more than 30 years, offering a wide range of exhibition walls, exhibition stands, pop-ups stand, roll up banners, beach flags, exhibition material and (LED) frames with printed textiles. Their Magento 1 webshop managed all its operations. But, the client started facing problems and limitations with the platform as the Magento community end its support for Magento 1. Magento 1 has reached its saturation point. Can make no more performance improvement and optimization in Magneto 1, no extensions available for Magento 1, security issues, and vulnerabilities in Magento 1. So, it approached Zehntech to migrate the website to Magento 2.

Business Solution

We performed a complete Magento migration and theme configuration on the website as per the client requirements. We came up with a managed solution of data migration from M1 to the M2 webshop so, the business will not experience any loss of the data. We migrated the categories, products and product pages, move CMS pages and static blocks from M1 into the M2 shop. We also relocated the emails, templates, discounts, discounts rules, catalogue cart rule, Catalog price rule, reviews, newsletter, subscriptions, Orders, Shipments, Invoices and System configurations. We also took care of theme configuration and customization so, the website’s look and feel can remain the same.
